Music students sing praises of Fife charity as they raise funds

-

Musical theatre students in Lanarkshire have presented a cheque for £2,000 to children’s charity When You Wish Upon A Star.

The students handed over the cheque to one of the charity’s ambassadors, 11-year-old Toby Etheridge from Cupar, who set up his own campaign, Toby’s Magical Journey to be Cancer Free,

The money was generated from the proceeds of programme sales at performing arts shows.

The 200-strong audience was encouraged to donate to collection buckets for Toby’s own charity, raising £553.

Toby was diagnosed with leukaemia when nine and has raised more than £35,000 for children and young people.
