Higgins relishing Killie move

Former Dundee defender Daniel Higgins has joined Kilmarnock just 24 hours after he quit Dens Park.

The 19-year-old former Celtic trainee made just four appearances for the Dark Blues last season after joining from the Hoops in February.

But he is looking forward to having more opportunities with Killie.

“It feels good to be here, as it’s a club that’s definitely going in the right direction,” Higgins told Kilmarnock’s website.

Boss Lee McCulloch added: “He came through Celtic’s academy, which has seen many impressive young players come through.

“For the second half of last season he gained experience at Dundee and through time will only get better.”
