GOLF Golfers from across the kingdom are being invited to take part in a charity day for Action on Hearing Loss Scotland.

The event takes place at Mar Hall Golf and Spa Resort, Renfrewshi­re, from 9am on Friday August 25, with entry £100 per person.

It will be donated to the New Youth Club in the village. SUMMER FETE The recent meeting to discuss Culross and Torryburn Parish Church’s input into the annual summer fete on Sunday August 20 decided that the church will have seven stalls.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL Cupar Community Council’s meeting starts at 7.30 tonight in the County Buildings. LADYBANK WALK Ladybank Forest user group’s next summer walk will start at 1pm on Thursday, leaving from the car park within Heatherhal­l Woods.

Jimmy Swan from the Forestry Commission will be leading. DRAMA Auchtermuc­hty Theatre Group is presenting Whisky Galore, a play by James Scotland based on the Compton MacKenzie novel, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm in the Victoria Hall.
