Staff and students have a party to celebrate campus’s first birthday

-

Fife College recently celebrated the first anniversary of its stateof-the-art Levenmouth Campus by holding a special event.

Students and staff came together for a tea party at the campus where they enjoyed and shared memories, stories and refreshments to reflect upon and toast what has been a successful first year for the college in Levenmouth.

The event was introduced by Dorothée Leslie, vice-principal for curriculum and academic planning at Fife College, who spoke favourably of the new campus and the opportunities it has created for the Levenmouth community.

Guests were then invited to help themselves to tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes, freshly prepared by the college’s own culinary arts students.

She said: “I have received nothing but positive feedback about this campus and I really am delighted to hear about the doors it is opening for people in the Levenmouth community, who otherwise may not have had such a positive experience.”

Pupils from Levenmouth Academy also attended the event with deputy head teacher Andrew Buchanan and they praised the facilities now at their disposal.

Mr Buchanan said: “I have only been in this role since Easter, but in such a short period of time I have already seen how beneficial this college campus is to Levenmouth Academy and to the community in general.

“It has been great working with Fife College to provide alternative programmes for our pupils, who seem to really enjoy learning at the college and using their facilities.

“I am looking forward to working with the college more as the years go on.”
