Arbroath are aware of more than one threat

-

Arbroath skipper Marc Petrie will order his title-seekers not to get carried away by the threat of big-hitting George Munsey today.

The table-toppers make the tricky trip to Edinburgh to take on Watsonians at Myreside, knowing a win would allow them to close in on the championship with three further matches to come.

Sonians ace Munsey has been the most damaging batsman in the league this season.

However, Petrie insisted: “He is quite a player, but it won’t be all about him.

“They have a number of other guys who have been performing strongly during the campaign.”

Arbroath will be relieved to hear that home spearhead bowler Andy McKay is missing from the attack.

However, Petrie added: “They still have Dewald Nel, whose pedigree is well known.

“We produced a great performance last weekend and we must keep up the momentum and the same type of approach.

“Our record at Myreside is not wonderful, so we need to get things right.”

To counter the absence of McKay, Sonians welcome back captain Ewan Chalmers, Andrew Chalmers, Olly Brown and experienced keeper Andy Hislop.

Should Arbroath falter, a derby victory for Grange over SMRH at Raeburn Place would set up a tensionpacked finale to the season.

Basement boys Falkland entertain an Aberdeenshire outfit humbled on their own patch by Carlton last weekend.

Glenrothes, still pushing for a topthree finish, jump across the Tay to square up to inconsistent Forfarshire.

Heriot’s aim to make ground advantage count in the other capital showdown with Carlton.
