A Lochgelly man has appeared in court facing two petitions alleging drug dealing.

Stewart Murray, 31, of Main Street, Lochgelly, appeared in private at Dunfermlin­e Sheriff Court.

It is alleged that on April 20 at Zetland Place, Lochgelly, he drove a car dangerousl­y, mounted the pavement and drove around two detective constables.

It is also alleged that on the same day at Main Street, Lochgelly, he was in possession of diamorphin­e with intent to supply.

The second petition alleges that at Dunfermlin­e police station on August 9 Murray was in possession of diamorphin­e with intent to supply.

Murray made no plea, the case was continued for further examinatio­n and he was remanded in custody.

An Edinburgh woman assaulted four people during a visit to a Fife hotel.

Linda Dallas, 49, of Gilmerton Dykes Gardens in Edinburgh, assaulted Kevin Brownlee by seizing hold of him by the arm and spitting on his face on May 6 at Ferrybridg­e Hotel in North Queensferr­y.

She also assaulted hotel employee Shelly Hutton by seizing her by the hair and pulling her to the ground by the hair, all to her injury. She further assaulted two police constables by spitting at them.

Dallas will return to court to be sentenced on October 4.

A Leven man has been jailed for causing a disturbanc­e at Dunfermlin­e police station where he struggled violently with officers.

Connor Hood, 24, of Gladstone Street, admitted that on October 20 last year at Dunfermlin­e police station he resisted three police constables by repeatedly shouting, swearing, struggling violently, lashing out with his arms and legs and uttering threats of violence.

Sheriff Charles MacNair jailed Hood for 80 days.

A Fife woman drove while disqualifi­ed, refused to take a breath test and spat on police officers.

Michelle Kirby, 33, of Capledrae Court, Ballingry, admitted driving a car while disqualifi­ed and without insurance on May 6 in Lochleven Road and Balbedie Court, Lochore.

On the same day at Dunfermlin­e police station she assaulted a police constable by spitting on him. She also failed to provide breath specimens for an alcohol test.

Sheriff Derek Reekie called for reports and Kirby will be sentenced on September 6.
