Highland pony – Marion Rogers, Aberfeldy, with Cailin of Drumdewan, a nine-year-old mare by Beechwood Maol Rubha and out of Cleodie of Shian. She has been lightly shown, picking up a third at the Breed Show a few years ago, and had an Aprilborn colt foal by Fionnlagh of Logierait, Campbell of Drumdewan.

Reserve – Sally Murray, Lurgan, Aberfeldy, with Lurgan Duncan, a four-year-old gelding by Glenwestca­stle Loch Rannoch and out of Lurgan Lilias Morven. He was second at the Central Scotland Highland Pony Club Show as a yearling on his only other outing. Ridden Highland pony – Sally Murray, with Lurgan Tay Mhor, an eight-year-old mare by Red Rock Dunain and out of Tessa of Alltnacail­leach. Second in her inhand class at Aberfeldy, she won

the novice section and was reserve ridden champion at Alyth as well as the Highland, Fell and Dales Show.

Reserve – Suzanne Neil, Darnoch, Dunkeld, with Mhari Bhan, a 15-year-old mare by Fyfedene and out of Amberdene. This was her biggest win and she competes with the BD Team Quest Garron Gang.

Clydesdale – Kevin Wilson, Blackford, with Westbank Ruby Tuesday, a 10-year-old mare by Doura Above All and out of Westbank Miss Dynamite. She was reserve overall at Doune and Dunblane, supreme heavy horse at Gargunnock and champion of champions at Braco.

Reserve – Peter Keron, Marefield of Crags, Madderty, with Westbank Cracklin’ Rosie, a fouryear-old mare by Muirton Sabre out of Westwood Beauty. She was champion here as a yearling and reserve at Perth Show on her only other outing this year.

Commercial­cattle – Robertson family, Newton of Logierait, Ballinluig, with the champion from Perth Show, a Septemberb­orn bullock by the Limousin bull, Calogale Irresistib­le out of a home-bred Limousin cross Aberdeen-Angus cow.

Reserve – Ballechin Farm, Ballinluig, with a seven-year-old Limousin cross cow and her February-born bullock. The home-bred cow is by Heathmount Uppercrust, while the calf is by a Limousin cross British Blue bull loaned from Newton of Logierait.

Blackface – Tay and Torridon, North Amulree, Dunkeld, with a home-bred three-crop ewe on her first outing of the year that was champion of champions here two years ago. She is by a £16,000 Connachan and out of a ewe by a £2,600 Nunnerie.

Reserve – Thomas Muirhead, Orchilmore Farm, Blair Atholl, with a home-bred gimmer that was fourth at the Highland on her only other outing. She is by a £16,000 Harprew sire and out of a privately purchased Auldhouseb­urn ewe by MacTavish.

Cross sheep – D and J Thomson, West Park, Aberfeldy, with a home-bred gimmer by an Auchenlay-bred Beltex cross Charollais sire bought at Kelso and out of a home-bred Beltex cross Texel ewe. She was second here as a ewe lamb on her only other outing.

Reserve – Steven and Jo Andrew, Letter, Dunkeld, with a late March-born ewe lamb by a Carstairs-bred Beltex cross Texel tup and out of a home-bred ewe. Brought out by son Nik, this was her first outing. Prime lambs – D and J Thomson, with a trio of threequart­er Beltex lambs by a Tiree sire. They were first at Perth Show, and weighed 45kg.

Reserve – Brian and Jimmy Menzies, Balledmund, Ballinluig, with three three-quarter Beltex lambs by a McQuistin sire. They weighed 34kg and were on their first outing.
