Fighting finish gives Tayport victory

A fighting finish earned TAYPORT a second successive home win as they came from behind to shock Dunbar United, who looked on course for a deserved victory.

They went ahead through Dale Reid very early on, but the visitors struck back either side of the interval.

It looked like staying that way into the final stages. Then, showing great character, Dale Reid levelled and Jamie Mackie got a stoppage-time winner.

ST ANDREWS made it back-to-back home wins with a 3-1 success over nineman Haddington.

The visitors had Chris Inglis sent off after 20 minutes, with Chris Cairney seeing red late on.

Ben Anthony put Saints ahead on 24 minutes, with Chris Robertson levelling.

Right on the restart Derek Wallace put the Fifers ahead.

Dylan Honeyman scored the third with little more than 15 minutes left.

For the second successive Saturday, THORNTON drew 1-1 with opposition from across the Forth, this time away to Bathgate Thistle.
