Bluebell without four for visit of the Fed

-

Dundonald Bluebell and Broughty clash at Moorside Park today after enjoying good starts to the season.

The Fifers are looking for a third straight win but are without Barry Sibanda, Lewis McKenzie and Scott Durie as well as long-term casualty Craig Wedderburn.

The Fed are without Dayle Robertson, while Fraser Smith and Garry Kenneth, both carried off last week, are doubtful. Keeper Iain Ross returns.

After last week’s bad day at the office when losing heavily to Linlithgow Rose, Lochee United boss George Shields will be looking for a rapid response away to Bonnyrigg Rose – and nothing but a major improvement will do against the title favourites.

The Bluebells will be minus strike pair Kevin Buchan and Craig Smith.

Carnoustie have responded perfectly after losing their first two fixtures by winning their last three matches.

As they seek a fourth straight win from the visit of Camelon, who are pointless on the road, the Gowfers will be without Liam Scott, Ryan Roche and Steven Cook, but Luke McGeehan is expected to return.

Forfar West End are finding life back in the top flight a bit of a struggle and a trip to Linlithgow Rose, rampant 5-1 winners at Lochee last week, serves up another severe test.

Long-term casualties Matt Ramsay and Andy Walls are still sidelined, although the latter has resumed light training.

‘Decimated’ is Hill of Beath boss Kevin Fotheringham’s description of his pool ahead of the visit of league leaders Penicuik.

Six of his 19-strong squad are unavailable. Mikey Lee, Russell Grierson, Rikki Dair and Stephen Forbes are injured, Darrin Wright is suspended and Arran Hay is on holiday.

To help plug the gaps, Fotheringham will have two 16-year-olds on the bench.

Jeanfield Swifts welcome Newtongrange Star and with the Perth men just a point better off than their visitors, picking up three points would be a big boost. Swifts, who could have a new signing on board, are without injured pair Mark Duigan and Scott Mollison, while Ben Blyth and Lewis Mackie are doubtful.

Kennoway Star Hearts, who have drawn their last three games, host Bo’ness United with the only change to the squad that held Broxburn last week the return of Scott Young from injury.
