SWEENEY IMPRESSES Sol Sweeney (Perth Strathtay H) took U20 honours in the 5,000m at the Scottish Track & Field Championships at Grangemouth, writes our athletics correspondent.

Annabel Simpson (Fife AC) won women’s 5,000m gold after finishing second to U20 gold medallist Naomi Lang (Aberdeen).
