QUIZ NIGHT Glenrothes and Area Heritage Centre is hosting another quiz night at its premises in Lyon Way, in the Kingdom shopping centre, tonight at 7pm.

Everybody is welcome to attend with entry costing £3 to non-members.

MUSICAL SHOW Anstruther and District Amateur Musical Society’s production of Annie Get Your Gun will be presented at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, from tonight to Saturday September 9, at 7.30pm.

There is also a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets, which are priced £12 for Tuesday night and Saturday matinee, and £15 for all other performanc­es, are available from the Byre Theatre.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL The next meeting of the Pitteuchar, Stenton and Finglassie Community Council will take place tonight in the Exit Community Centre, Glenrothes.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm.

GIDEON PRAYER MEET The next West Fife Gideon Branch monthly prayer meeting will be at the Christian Community Church in Paton Street Community Centre today, from 10am to 11am.

Anyone interested in the Gideon work can attend.

BLANKET TESTS People can have their electric blankets tested in St Andrews today.

Officers from Trading Standards and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will be in the Victory Memorial Hall, St Mary’s Place, from 11am to 2pm, to conduct free tests.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL The next meeting of Abdie and Dunbog Community Council will take place tomorrow, at 6.30pm.
