‘Fife’s Energy Coast’ to the fore
Levenmouth’s Local Tourist Association has launched a new free visitor guide and rebranded the area as “Fife’s Energy Coast” in honour of its green credentials.
The new guide has been designed to showcase the natural beauty, attractions, activities and sights on offer along the 20 kilometre stretch of coastline. By shining the spotlight on popular destinations along the coast, as well as some of its hidden gems, organisers hope to boost tourism to the area.
Christopher Trotter, chairman of the Levenmouth LTA, said: “Fife’s Energy Coast stretches from the Wemyss conservation villages, famous for their caves and pottery, to the spectacular sea vistas of Largo Bay where the real Robinson Crusoe first felt sand between his toes.
“From east to west the light constantly changes. Offering stunning sunrises to golden sunsets, the Forth provides a vast backdrop for the ever shifting light.
“The area has a wonderful industrial heritage and is now a worldleading centre for renewable energy, with sprawling coastlines and plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventures. There is something for everyone to enjoy in nature’s playground”.
Featuring a foreword from celebrated Fife sculptor David Mach, the guide features lots of things to see and do, from family days out to attractions, events and festivals.
It also offers top travel tips and links to accommodation in the area for those who wish to indulge in a longer stay in areas such as Leven, Buckhaven, Methil, Kennoway, Windygates, Largo, Lundin Links and Wemyss.
