A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a Dundee man with a knife, after allegedly firing an arrow at him with a bow in a stairwell.

Charles Little, 31, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday afternoon charged with the murder of Gordon Adams, who also went by the surname Diduca.

Little, of Dundonald Court, is accused of murdering the labourer in a shared common close by repeatedly plunging a knife into his body.

He is also accused of firing an arrow at Mr Adams and two other men, Jason Sinclair and Colin Hughes, in the stairwell.

It is alleged that on Sunday September 24 at 72 Dundonald Court, Little behaved in a threatening and abusive manner likely to cause a reasonable person fear and alarm and threatened the occupants with a bow and arrows, repeatedly struck the front door and attempted to force entry into the property.

The second charge against Little is that, in the common close between 69 and 72 Dundonald Court, he assaulted Gordon Adams, Jason Sinclair and Colin Hughes, threatened them with a bow and arrows and fired toward them.

After firing the arrows, it is alleged that at 69 Dundonald Court, Little assaulted Gordon Adams by repeatedly striking him with a knife, murdering him.

It is further alleged that at the same address he assaulted Jason Sinclair by striking him on the arm with a knife or similar object.

Little, who appeared from custody, made no plea to the four charges levelled against him.

He appeared before Sheriff Lorna Drummond QC and was represented by David Sinclair.

Little was committed for further examination and remanded in custody and will reappear at Dundee Sheriff Court within eight days.

Meanwhile, a fundraising page set up to pay for Gordon Adams’ funeral has reached its initial target of £500.

Tributes to Mr Adams poured in online, with one woman donating to the funeral fund despite never having met the popular 23-year-old.

The fund, which was established by Mr Adams’ cousin Courtney Diduca, is on course to reach £1,000 by the end of the week.
