HISTORY The next meeting of the Royal Burgh of Kinghorn Historical Society will take place at 7.30pm today.

The meeting will be in the Kinghorn Community Centre and will feature a talk by David Caldwell.

Annual subscripti­ons of £15 are due on the night and £3 for visitors.

CULROSS AND TORRYBURN The Heart and Soul swing band gave an outstandin­g performanc­e as part of Culross Abbey’s 800th anniversar­y celebratio­ns.

The event raised £486 for the Church of Scotland HIV Programme.

The next event on December 1 will feature entertainm­ent from the Bo’ness and Carriden Brass Band.

ART CLASSES Kirkcaldy Art Club’s first workshop, The Amazing Possibilit­ies of Pinch Pots, will be held at Hot Pot Wynd, Dysart, on Sunday, from 1-4pm, and will be led by

Heather Gilbert.

There is a waiting list for the club’s pottery classes but there are still a few spaces left for painting.

OPEN DAY Ardross Farm, near Elie, is to host an open day on Saturday.

The event, from 11am to 5pm, will feature talks from the farm team about the work they do, as well as family activities and homemade food.

The RSPB will also be present, showing visitors how to make their own seed mix.

FIFE WALKING CLUB The Fife Walking Club’s next walk will be a circular taking in Alyth Den, Banff and Hill of Loyal on Sunday.

Walkers should meet in Alyth Square in the centre of the village at 10.30am.

POSTCARDS Kirkcaldy Stamp and Postcard Club’s next meeting will be in Torbain Parish Church, Lindores Drive from 2-4pm next Wednesday.
