Stabbing outside theatre

A man has been stabbed in an attack outside a theatre in Edinburgh.

Police said the 41-year-old victim was standing in an alcove of the King’s Theatre at around 9.45pm on Thursday when three men approached him.

Two of the men attacked him before the group ran off along Drumdryan Street.

The victim was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Officers are treating the attack as attempted murder, with one man already detained over the incident.
