Mackie’s builds up Asda links

Perthshire-based snack foods producer Mackie’s has extended its relationship with Asda.

The crisp and popcorn maker has supplied into the supermarket giant for seven years.

Asda has now agreed to take on Mackie’s new sweet and toffee-coated popcorn flavours across 50 Scottish stores.

Mackie’s at Taypack commercial director James Taylor said: “Not only has our partnership with Asda helped to increase our product range and availability, it has also helped us expand on our local recruitment with now over 46 employees based at our production factory in Errol.”
