We think of the 1960s as a time of breaking down barriers, turning on, tuning in and dropping out, and while that was certainly the experience for some people, others simply got on with their lives. Writer Peter Moffat has focused on the latter group, although the reason that they’re not swinging in London is that they’re Royal Military Police officers stationed in Aden. The story was inspired by his childhood memories. At the centre of it all are Captain Joe Martin and his wife Honor, who are newly married and new to the country. As they attempt to settle in, danger looms on the horizon.
