Concern growing for missing 60-year-old
Police release CCTV footage of woman in bid to spark memories
The last known sighting of a woman missing in Highland Perthshire has been revealed by police.
Officers are concerned for the welfare of Wilma Carlin, from Kenmore, who was last seen in the Aberfeldy area on Tuesday morning.
A CCTV image of the 60-year-old in the Davidson’s chemist shop in the town at 10am that day has been released in a bid to help trace her.
At that time she was wearing a grey gilet, black top, bright blue denim jeans and was carrying a red handbag.
Police also revealed they are planning on drafting in a helicopter to scour the area from the air.
Police Inspector Jon Anton said : “We are growing increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of Wilma and I would appeal direct to the public to assist us.
“The police helicopter has been assisting today, carrying out searches over the Aberfeldy and Kenmore areas.
“We have issued an image of Wilma which has been captured on CCTV within Davidson’s chemist shop in Aberfeldy, in the hope someone recognises her or saw her in the area around that time.
“If anyone sees a woman matching the description of Wilma, please get in touch.
“We really need to trace her car, which is a silver Citroen DS3. There is no information at the moment to indicate that Wilma has travelled away from her home area but we cannot rule this out.
“It is possible that the car may be parked in a rural area or away from main roads. If you see it, please call police on 101.”
Wilma is described as being 5ft, of slim build with silver/grey hair. She also wears glasses. She is a keen hillwalker and has access to the silver Citroen DS3, which has the registration PY15 AYJ.
Meanwhile officers in Dundee have found a man missing since Tuesday morning. Kevin Dougan was traced “safe and well” last night.
