Chance to discuss town’s future

-

Residents in Kinross are being given the opportunity to discuss the issues affecting their lives and make suggestions to improve the area.

The Kinross, Almond and Earn Action Partnership, which brings together representatives from public services, the local community and councillors, is planning to hold a series of sessions in the town in the next few months and is urging people to start thinking about their aspirations.

A spokeswoman for Perth and Kinross Council said: “The people in the partnership work alongside the wider community to tackle inequalities.

“To be able to do this effectively, a good understanding of the real issues facing people locally is important.

“By talking to people, hearing more about their experiences, and working with them to identify solutions, the partnership aims to support work that will make a real difference to people in the area.

“There will be opportunities for people to take part in discussing and thinking about this over the next few months in a variety of different ways – in local groups, the library and other locations,” she added.

“It’s also possible to share experiences and ideas online by visiting placestandard.scot.”

A training workshop for people who want to help steer the discussions will be held from 10am until noon on October 26 at Loch Leven Community Campus.
