WAR MEMORIAL INCIDENT: Two people have been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with public urination at Burntisland War Memorial last month.
Police confirmed that a 47-year-old man and 38-yearold woman have been reported following an incident at the cenotaph at the bottom of Cromwell Road on Tuesday September 29.
FIFE ELECTRONIC ORGAN SOCIETY: There has been a change of performer for tomorrow night’s Fife Electronic Organ Society concert in St Columba’s Church, Glenrothes.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, originally scheduled artist Dave Smith is unable to make it, but Andrew Nix, a well known Roland Atelier artist, has stepped in.
The concert will start at 7pm. Admission is £5 for members, £7 for visitors and juniors are free.
CIVIC SOCIETY: Kirkcaldy Civic Society is holding its AGM on Thursday in the Old Kirk, Kirk Wynd, at 7.30pm.
This will be followed by a talk “Kath Duncan: Forgotten
Firebrand?” delivered by David Potter and George Proudfoot. All are welcome.
HERITAGE GROUP: Torryburn History Group next meets on Thursday in Torryburn Hall. Speaker George Beattie will talk on Dunfermline’s tramcars.
ROTARY CLUB: Rotary district governor Graeme Archibald gave a talk to Kilrymont St Andrews Rotary Club on the themes of making a difference and working together. President John Spittal proposed thanks.
COMMUNITY COUNCIL: Townhill Community Council meets at 7pm on Thursday in the village’s community centre.
The guest speaker will be pharmacist Mo Ameen who will explain more about his proposal to provide a chemist shop and pharmacy in Townhill.
HISTORY: Dunfermline Historical Society’s next talk will be on Thursday in Abbey Church Hall, Abbey Park Place, at 7.30pm.
Costumed Arran Paul will give a talk entitled “A Soldier of the Rough Wooing”. Doors open at 7pm.
