A Christmas tale with a twist...

-

Celebrate Christmas with one of the most-loved stories ever written. Bringing together magical design and seasonal music, Dundee Rep’s festive show promises to bring the joy of Christmas straight to the heart of the city with a new twist on Charles Dickens’ novel, A Christmas Carol.

Dundee Rep’s award-winning ensemble will bring the colourful cast of characters to life – the familiar names of Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, Mrs Fezziwig, Tiny Tim and, of course, Ebenezer Scrooge as you’ve never seen them before.

Ebenezer Scrooge is visited one Christmas Eve by three spirits: the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, which highlight Scrooge’s lonely and miserable existence. Tight-fisted Scrooge is then taken on a magical journey towards redemption and wakes on Christmas morning a new person, now eager to spread joy and happiness. Join in the festivities and celebrate the beginning of a new life.

This show will be artistic director Andrew Panton’s first Christmas offering at Dundee Rep following the success of his production August: Osage County. A story about family, love, regrets and hope, A Christmas Carol has become a classic yuletide tale for generations of grown-ups and children alike – a festive must-see for all the family!

The show opens on November 30 and runs until December 31, with previews on November 30 and December 1. The age recommendation for the show is five years old and above.
