One of the biggest expansions in Perth’s history got under way as crews started work on a major new road. The £35 million A9/A85 junction will unlock development land for thousands of homes at Bertha Park, to the north of the city. The project is also slated to generate hundreds of jobs and deliver a £500 million boost to the local economy. Perth and Kinross Council – which is spearheading the scheme – says the new road will help cut congestion and alleviate air quality issues in the centre.
