Gayfield boss awaits news on Swankie
Arbroath manager Dick Campbell is facing a nervous wait to find out the extent of the knee injury that forced Gavin Swankie to limp off on Saturday.
The 33-year-old was injured 10 minutes from time as Campbell’s side beat Queen’s Park 2-0 and he opted to come off and leave his team a man down as all three substitutes had been used.
Campbell said: “There may have been a small twist and we just need to see how things are. We lost Steven Doris for the season last week due to a knee injury and that is a huge blow and Kane Hester is still a few weeks away so we do not need any more bad news.
“Gavin has been in fine form recently so hopefully we will get good news.”
League 2 Clyde have appointed former Cowdenbeath and St Mirren boss Danny Lennon as their new manager to replace Jim Chapman.
