Young Loons earn boss’s praise

Forfar manager Jim Weir has praised the impact youngsters have made since he took over at Station Park at the start of last month.

The Station Park side have climbed off bottom spot with seven points picked up out of the last nine and Weir is delighted that Michael Kennedy, Murray MacKintosh and Matthew Aitken have all played a part.

Weir said: “I did not know much about the younger players in the Forfar squad when I came in but they have impressed me.

“We are an improving side but there is still a lot of work to be done and they can play a part in that.”
