Children reveal ‘must have’ toys to the man who needs to know

-

With just under four weeks to go until Christmas, the nation’s children have revealed the presents they would most like to receive this year.

Unlike most toy surveys in the run up to Christmas, the findings come directly from the children themselves in letters they have written for Santa and posted via Royal Mail.

Traditional toys continue to hold the top two spots on the list of the 10 most wanted presents, with the perennial favourite Lego retaining the top spot.

Bikes have moved up from third place to grab second spot this year, while video games consoles are a new entry in third place.

Hatchimals leap into fourth place despite not featuring in the list at all in 2016, while scooters drop from second spot down to fifth.

Mobile phones drop from fourth place in 2016 down to sixth this year, with Paw Patrol also taking a tumble from fifth spot to seventh.

Two new entries in the list see Fingerlings and LOL Big Surprise Ball as the eighth and ninth, with Nerf Guns falling from sixth to 10th.

There is still a chance for children to write to Santa but please ensure letters are written to him using the correct address – Santa/Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ – on a stamped envelope no later than Friday December 8.

Don’t forget that Santa needs to know the full name and address of children to reply so please include this in the letter.
