CHURCH HALL A listed East Neuk church hall has been spruced up in the first stage of an upgrade.

New windows were fitted to St Monans Church Hall, built in 1913 by renowned architect Robert Stodart Lorimer, thanks to cash from the Big Lottery Fund, St Monans Common Good Fund and the Church of Scotland. A new toilet and paintwork is also planned. ART CLUB Kirkcaldy Art Club has finished its classes for the term.

Members enjoyed Christmas arts activities for children in Templehall Library at the weekend followed by the club’s Christmas arts and crafts fair. PANTO TICKETS Townhill Community Council has received panto tickets donated by Dunfermlin­e’s Alhambra Theatre which will be added to a raffle during its Christmas event for children tomorrow. FREUCHIE CRICKET CLUB The annual general meeting of Freuchie Cricket Club will be held tomorrow at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. CULROSS ABBEY The final event in the programme to celebrate the 800th anniversar­y of Culross Abbey will take place at 7.30pm tomorrow.

Bo’ness and Carriden Brass Band will provide the entertainm­ent. ST LEONARDS GUILD St Leonards Guild, St Andrews, are being entertaine­d by the Swilkan Singers tonight at 7.30 in the church hall.

Free entry, but donations for MND are welcome. CHURCH FAIR Dunfermlin­e’s United Reform Church will hold a Christmas fair in the church hall in Canmore Street between 10am and noon on Saturday, with various stalls.
