QUIZ NIGHT: Glenrothes and Area Heritage Centre will hold a Christmas quiz at 7pm tomorrow in the Heritage Centre, 18 Lyon Way, Kingdom Shopping Centre.

The event is free to members and £3 for non-members. ST ANDREWS: The Friends of St Andrews Botanic Garden will host a lecture by Dr Peter Wilkie tomorrow.

The event is at St Andrews University chemistry department, North Haugh, and begins at 7.30pm. Entry is free. LOCAL HISTORY: Kincardine Local History Group will meet on Wednesday at 2pm in the community centre, Anderson Lane, Kincardine.

The Rev Alec Shuttlewor­th will give a talk entitled Indian Peter. LIVE SET: Scottish Jazz Award winners Das Contras will play a free, live set at Elite Audio, in Pittenweem, on Wednesday.

The event will launch the retailer’s showroom in Balcaskie Estate.

As usual it will be held in St Columba’s Church in Glenrothes.

Admission is £5 for members, £7 for visitors, and juniors go free. Doors open 6.35pm. KIRKCALDY STAMP AND POSTCARD CLUB: Kirkcaldy Stamp and Postcard Club’s next meeting is on Wednesday, when members are asked to bring Christmasr­elated items. A bring and buy sale will also be held.

Meetings are in Torbain Parish Church, Lindores Drive, Kirkcaldy, from 2pm to 4pm. FOLK CLUB: Dunfermlin­e Folk Club welcomes the award-winning musician Rachel Newton at 8pm on Wednesday in Fire Station Creative.
