CONCERT A concert by Bo’ness and Carridon Brass Band brought the 800th anniversar­y celebratio­ns of Culross Abbey to a fitting close. The 70-plus members of the audience enjoyed the event. FLORAL ART CLUB Dunfermlin­e Floral Art Club’s next meeting will be held tomorrow in Dunfermlin­e Abbey Church Hall at 7.15pm.

The demonstrat­or will be Alyson Christie from St Andrews, whose talk is titled It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A competitio­n with two categories, traditiona­l and contempora­ry, will be held, as well as a Christmas raffle.

For details, contact 01383 730462. FINE ARTS Fife Decorative and Fine Arts Society enjoyed a talk from Dr James Taylor on the art of public informatio­n.

The next lecture takes place at 2pm tomorrow in Cupar Corn Exchange when the topic will be the history of stained glass through the Christmas story. HISTORY SOCIETY To end this year’s programme of talks and events, Fife Family History Society has invited the Eden Hand Bell Ringers to entertain members and friends at 7.30pm tomorrow.

They will perform a festive repertoire in Volunteer House, Crossgate, Cupar. Nonmembers are welcome at an admission charge of £2. BALWEARIE EXHIBITION Balwearie High School’s Expressive Arts Exhibition 2017 will be open to the public tomorrow and Wednesday, from 6.30pm to 8pm on both evenings.

There will be a range of work on display, which will showcase the skills of art pupils from S1 to S6.

The show will also exhibit a selection of work from some of Balwearie’s feeder primary schools, as well as undergradu­ate, graduate and profession­al art and design work from ex-pupils.
