A host of little angels
Who are all these little angels in the picture on the right? Do you recognise any of them?
Following the success of the ‘Muchty 500 exhibitions earlier this year, Auchtermuchty Church will be opening its doors again from Saturday, December 16-23.
The building will be decorated with Christmas-themed displays created by local organisations involving all ages from Rainbows to Lunch Clubs. They may be large or small, quirky or traditional, crazy or simply beautiful.
As well as these displays, there will be volumes of panto pictures, Nativity groups from years gone by, old snowy photos, videos and much more. “It really is amazing how old ‘Muchty stuff comes out of cupboards now there is somewhere for it to be shown and shared,” says one of the organisers.
“With the big Christmas tree up, carols playing and refreshments available, the church makes a great place to come and enjoy all the different elements of this exhibition – nostalgia, reminiscence and great hospitality. There is no charge – you are invited to come along and enjoy a bit of festive cheer.”
Opening times are Saturday, December 16 and 23 from 10am to 4pm; Sunday 17, Tuesday 19 and Thursday 21 from 2– 6pm. Wheelchair access is available if required. For more information about any part of the exhibition, please phone Liz Slattery on 01337 828386.
