Prime sheep: Prime lambs (772) sold to 203.3p per kg and 200p per kg for Beltex from Shandford, and £96 for Beltex from Easter Balgillo, to average 174.4p per kilo. All classes of lambs (52kg and under) saw slightly dearer trade to last week, a good show of heavy lambs 52kg+ would be £10 up on the week to average £91.16. Overall sale average for 1,788 lambs was 175ppkg (-0.6p on the week). Top price of the day went to WM Bell & Son, Craigend and Doune Farms, West Lundie, at £103. Top price per kg went to Craigend for a pair of 42.5kg Beltex at £97 or 228ppkg.
