CULROSS AND TORRYBURN Culross and Torryburn Parish Church Christmas services on Christmas Eve will be held at the normal times of 9.45am in High Valleyfiel­d and 11am in Culross Abbey.

The Watchnight Service in Culross Abbey will commence with carols at 11pm.

There will be one service on Christmas Day in High Valleyfiel­d Church – not Culross Abbey as previously intimated – at 10.30am.

CHRISTMAS EVE St John’s Church in Cupar has services on Christmas Eve at 11.15am and 6.30pm and a watchnight service at 11.30pm.

St James The Great in the town has a 10.30am Christingl­e service and 10pm Midnight Mass.

PAINTING CLASSES Kirkcaldy Art Club will begin a new session of painting classes next month.

The classes take place on Monday evenings and run for 10 weeks. Places can be booked by calling 01592 267641.

APPOINTMEN­T Councillor David Barratt has been appointed to represent Fife Council as its member of the North Queensferr­y Community Trust.

WALK Welcome in the new year with a walk from Culross Abbey to the Town House via The Cross.

Walkers should meet at 11pm on New Year’s Eve at the Abbey Tea Shop, where mulled wine will be available.

The walk starts at 11.30pm to reach the Town House for the bells.

NORTH QUEENSFERR­Y Councillor Dave Dempsey has been appointed as Fife Council’s representa­tive to the committee of the North Queensferr­y Community Centre.

AGM Fife United Inter Clubs Associatio­n will host its annual general meeting in the Bowhill Hotel on Monday January 8 at 7pm.
