-

Families are being invited to blow away the cobwebs and first foot Cambo Gardens.

The Kingsbarns estate is encouraging people to come and see its new Stables visitor centre and make some noise for 2018.

During its First Foot Weekend there will be free access to the walled gardens and woodlands from tomorrow to Sunday.

Tomorrow it wants families to bring noisy things for its Wassailing in the Walled Garden 12th night celebration between 3pm and 5pm when there will be an opportunity to create some wildcraft noisy shakers.

The weekend precedes a series of events during January and February, coinciding with its famous Snowdrop Festival, which begins on January 27.

Every Wednesday morning from January 31 to February 28 the gardens will hold Babes in the Snowdrops Woods activity walks for parents, babies and toddlers.

On January 27 and February 24 there will be adventure clubs for families with young children and for older youngsters only.

An Imbolc family fire party will officially launch the festival on February 1, including a parade, bonfire and sausage sizzle.

Imbolc is the Gaelic festival marking the start of spring.

Head gardener Elliott Forsyth will lead a one-day course in designing a modern winter garden on February 12.

On February 14, 15 and 16 there will be a Steam Snowdrop Spectacular challenge, with a workshop and parade involving science, technology, arts, engineering and mathematics.

Most events are free but must be booked by emailing judy@ cambogardens.org.uk.
