‘Positive response’ to community asset transfers workshop

-

Kincardine residents gave the thumbs-up to a Coalfields Regeneration Trust-run workshop on community asset transfers.

The session – held as part of the trust’s programme of empowering former mining areas – involved 22 delegates representing 14 community groups. Scottish trustee Nicky Wilson described the response as “hugely positive” and added: “We believe asset transfers are a really effective way for local people to make a significant difference to their local community, whether it is buying and transforming land or disused buildings, or any of the other options the legislation permits.”
