Delays for commuters following morning of road accidents

A lorry crash on one of Fife’s busiest roads brought delays for commuters during yesterday’s morning rush hour.

The HGV crashed into a barrier on the A92, near the Crossgates Junction, at around 9am.

Emergency services were sent to the scene and lane restrictio­ns were put in place on both the east and westbound carriagewa­ys for several hours while the vehicle was recovered. The driver is understood to have escaped serious injury. Meanwhile, no serious injuries were reported following a collision between a Toyota Hilux pickup and Ford Fiesta on the A985 near Rosyth yesterday morning.

The accident, which happened at 8am, caused minor delays.
