Gaelic Lunchtime Concerts
Marryat Hall, Dundee January 13
Gaelic Lunchtime Concerts provide an introduction to Gaelic Music and Song, and an opportunity for audiences to hear and get a flavour of the Gaelic language.
The project is a series of six one-hour lunchtime concerts which started last October. The concerts are an introduction to Gaelic through music and song in the relaxed informal setting of the Marryat Hall. Music is on the menu tom orrow with Craig Irving and Charlie Stewart – current BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year – who has replaced the originally-billed Mohsen Amini.
Singer/songwriter Mary McInroy performs on Sunday January 28 and the series ends with Dundee Gaelic Choir on February 25.
The aim is to introduce an accessible programme of Gaelic concerts at a reduced price to support the well-established Dundee Gaelic society and showcase new and emerging Gaelic artists.
