Fife chef’s recipe for success could land him a Swedish trip

A Fife chef is turning up the heat on his counterparts after reaching the finals of a national competition.

Anastasios Nefitos of the Newport Restaurant in New-port-onTay is in the running to be named Game Chef of the Year.

The final cook-off will take place in Ayrshire later this month, with a hunting trip to Sweden on offer to the winner.

Managing director of Braehead Foods, Craig Stevenson, said: “The competition has been running for many years now and each year the number and quality of entries exceeds our expectations.

“We want the chefs who are working and creating delicious recipes using game meats across the UK to be recognised for what they do.”
