Work could start on new affordable housing next month

Construction work on new affordable housing development in Newburgh could start next month.

Kingdom Housing Association has confirmed it is close to completing a design and build contract with Robertson Partnership Homes for 40 new properties at Banklands.

A total of 22 flats and 18 houses have been proposed. They will be a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom properties.

If agreement is reached as expected, work should start in February. The development has been earmarked for completion in the spring of 2019.

Kingdom, working with Fife Council, is in the process of delivering new affordable housing throughout the county.
