Scottish Blenheim?
Dundee Civic Trust’s monthly talk will take place on Thursday, January 18, at Dundee Art Society, 17 Roseangle, when Simon Green will give his lively celebration of Camperdown House, provocatively entitled The Scottish Blenheim?
Camperdown House is one of the most important Greek Revival houses in Scotland and the talk will also cover the work of its architect, William Burn.
Simon Green is an architectural historian working in Historic Environment Scotland and is also researching the architecture of the Baronial and Arts and Crafts movements in Scotland. He is the President of the Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland.
The talk starts at 7pm and is open to all, with a small charge for nonmembers. A glass of wine is included.
