HILLSIDE. Members heard a talk from Ian Wren of Horseback UK, a charity working with ex-servicemen. President Diane Parry introduced Charlotte Benvie of Carlotta’s Chocolates, who made chocolate truffles. Mrs Henry introduced the Rev Brian Smith, who spoke about living in South Africa. Elsie Nicol opened the first meeting of the year and introduced Nancy Davidson, who spoke of her time as assistant governor of Styal Prison in Cheshire.
