FRIENDS OF RYMONTH The Friends of Rymonth coffee morning, which took place on Saturday in St Andrews Town Hall, raised £901.

The Friends would like to thank everyone who supported the event. ARTIST St Andrews-based artist Alan Stephens visited Kirkcaldy Art Club to demonstrat­e how to develop an oil painting.

He chose to paint a view from the sand dunes on the West Sands looking towards St Andrews. HISTORY GROUP Kincardine Local History Group meets at 2pm tomorrow in the session house at Tulliallan and Kincardine Parish Church when the speaker’s topic will be Tulliallan Nursery. This is a change to the syllabus. U3A Cupar U3A will hear from Sarah Bax, who will talk on music in hospitals. It takes place from 2pm tomorrow in Cupar Baptist Church hall. TEA DANCES An afternoon tea dance is held from 2-4pm every Wednesday in St John’s Church hall in Cupar. All are welcome. RETIRED TEACHERS The next meeting of the Dunfermlin­e branch of Retired Teachers will take place in the Carnegie Hall lecture room on Thursday at 10.30am. All retired teachers are welcome to attend. ST ANDREWS MUSIC CLUB The St Andrews Music Club hosts the fourth concert of their 65th season on Thursday at 7.30pm in the Byre Theatre.

The performers are the Cremona String Quartet.

Tickets for the concert are available online at byretheatr­e. com and from the Byre box office. COMMUNITY COUNCIL Townhill Community Council meets at 7pm on Thursday in the village’s community centre.
