An investigation has been launched into the sudden death of a 17-year-old boy in Fife at the weekend.
British Transport Police said they were called at 10.56pm on Saturday following reports a person had been struck by a train at Kingskettle near Ladybank station.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers attended alongside paramedics but sadly a 17-year-old boy died at the scene.
“His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
