ROTARY Richard Mansbridge gave an illustrated talk to Kilrymont St Andrews Rotary Club on a recent Atlantic yacht race in which he took part.

HERITAGE GROUP Andrew Dowsey, who is responsible for Fife Council’s archives and local studies, will give a talk and presentation at Glenrothes and Area Heritage Centre on Glenrothes’ historical archives. It starts at 2pm on Thursday in the centre, 18 Lyon Way, Kingdom Centre.
RETIRED TEACHERS The next meeting of the Dunfermline Retired Teachers Branch is on Thursday when Richard Lloyd will give a presentation on Mary’s Meals.
Members meet in the lecture room at Carnegie Hall at 10.30am and any retired teacher is welcome.

AULD ALLIANCE Odile Hughson, a volunteer guide at the National Museum of Scotland, will explore the Auld Alliance at the Dreel Halls in Anstruther on the next Anster Nicht at 7.30pm on Thursday.
The event is free to Anstruther Improvements Association members.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY Dunfermline Historical Society will meet at the Abbey Church Hall, Abbey Park Place, Dunfermline, at 7.30pm on Thursday.
The speaker will be Gordon Findlater on the gruesome subject of Burke and Hare.
