Ankle problem won’t stop Berra from facing Jags

-

Christophe Berra is set to line up for Hearts against Partick Thistle at Tynecastle today.

The defender has been suffering from an ankle injury but a scan showed no major damage and he will continue to manage the issue.

Danny Amankwaa is set for just his second start in place of Manuel Milinkovic, while Harry Cochrane (hamstring), Michael Smith (calf) and Don Cowie (illness) are all being monitored but are likely to miss out. Arnaud Djoum (achilles), Jamie Brandon and Rory Currie (both knee) remain long-term absentees.

For Thistle, Alan Archibald will be without top scorer Conor Sammon when the Maryhill men take to the Tynecastle pitch.

The striker is unable to feature against his parent club, meaning Kris Doolan is likely to come into the side.

Meanwhile, Ross County will welcome skipper Andrew Davies back for today’s crucial Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Hamilton in Dingwall.

The centre-back has missed the last six weeks with a calf complaint but rejoins the Staggies squad for this weekend’s visit of Accies.

Hamilton have Dougie Imrie and Georgios Sarris back in their squad following suspension for the trip to face the club at the bottom of the league.

But Ioannis Skondras is still missing as he attends to a family matter in Greece.
