Scottish junior U17 internationalist Cera Gemmell (Team East Lothian) put in a capital performance in winning the London Mini-Marathon and the UK Junior Road Running title. Gemmell won in a sprint finish with U15 athlete Beatrice Wood (South West) as both shared a winning time for the three miles – 16 minutes 38 seconds. Fife AC’s Anna Hedley was 15th overall and eighth-placed U15 girl as she clocked 17.38 to help the Scottish U15s to team gold. Fife club colleague Ben Sandilands was 96th and 29th U15 boy in 16.15.
