Dundee’s most historic school buildings will need £15 million worth of upgrades to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose. The city council expects to spend £5m on the upkeep of its Victorian and Edwardian schools, such as Glebelands and Clepington primaries, over the next five years. It will then have to spend double that sum in ensuing years to upgrade the schools. The money is just part of the £111.7m the council expects to spend on its school estate by 2022.
