Luncarty thrash North End

-

Luncarty romped to a 5-1 home win over newlycrowned champions North End to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Dale Smart notched a treble with counters on 17, 36 and 51 minutes and Calum Kirkcaldy made it four 20 minutes from time. Ryan Smith pulled one back for the Dokens on 79 minutes, but Robbie Millar added a fifth five minutes from time.

Kinnoull were 4-1 home winners over Blairgowrie to extend their undefeated run to 11 matches as they brought down the curtain on their campaign.

Mark Smith struck twice in the first half before Darren Gray made it three on the hour mark. Smith completed his hat trick after 73 minutes and Darren Neave got the hard working Blair side’s deserved consolation goal four minutes later.

Arbroath Vics also completed their season with a win, but they couldn’t have cut it finer, beating hosts Forfar Albion 3-2.

Kellon Lyons put Vics ahead after 26 minutes, but goals from Johnny McBride and Ryan Clark saw Albion go in front seven minutes from time.

However, two goals in the last two minutes from Argyle Cairns and a Josh Chalmers penalty snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

Lee Maloney was the Coupar Angus hero with his late strike edging out Newburgh at Foxhall Park.

He opened the scoring after six minutes but Jamie Gay scored Burgh’s leveller 20 minutes later.

However, with eight minutes left, Maloney fired home from a free-kick to earn his side full points.

Lochore Welfare hit beleaguered Brechin Vics, who had only six signed players available, for six at Victoria Park.

Joe Kinnonmonth scored three with James Adam bagging a brace and Kearyn Hicks getting the other. Though not among the goals, Ewan Robertson was outstanding.
