Dundee pass 2,000 mark in season ticket sales

-

The final curtain has yet to come down on the current campaign but Dundee have now sold in excess of 2,000 season tickets for the next one.

That is hundreds more than at the same stage last year despite the fact the club’s Premiership safety was only finally assured on Tuesday night with the victory over Ross County in Dingwall.

Sales have been boosted after boss Neil McCann and first-team players personally phoned fans who had bought the season tickets.

The ‘Super Early Bird’ period ends today with tickets for Under-12s still just £1.

The club said: “We would like to thank every supporter who has purchased a season ticket for next season. One of the benefits with the season ticket is a free voucher to be utilised for the remaining match this season.

“This means buying a season ticket over the next couple of days will also get you a free ticket for the final match of the season against Partick Thistle tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, young Dundee goalies Calum Ferrie and Kyle Gourlay, have both signed one-year contract extensions.

Teenager Ferrie made his debut for the first team against Rangers at Ibrox last month after No 1 stopper Elliott Parish suffered a facial injury.

Gourlay, who is also 19, has spent time out on loan this season with Clyde and Airdrie.
