Bluebells mourn passing of Ian ‘Ando’ Anderson

Lochee United’s Super League trip to Bo’ness United was overshadow­ed by the tragic passing of Ian “Ando” Anderson.

A club statement read: “Ando was held in high regard at the club and attended every match home and away.

“He was a fantastic person, a great friend and loved the club dearly.”

United went down 3-0 at Newtown Park with goals coming from Will Snowdon, Marty Wright and Marc Kelly.

Bonnyrigg Rose need four points from their remaining three games to win their second league title in three seasons after a comfortabl­e 3-0 win at Carnoustie.

Stuart Walton put Bluebell in front on 36 minutes but Linlithgow equalised through Andy Thom, with the winner coming on 87 minutes as the ball ended up being bundled in to his own net by a Dundonald defender.

A threadbare Forfar West End recovered from their midweek thrashing at Jeanfield as they took a point from a 0-0 draw with Sauchie at Strathmore Park.

Broughty Athletic started badly at Hill of Beath and it was effectivel­y game over by half-time.

The Haws were three down by 18 minutes after goals from Ricky Patrick, Lee Reid and Daniel Watt.

Brian Clark pulled one back for Broughty on 38 minutes but Watt put the game to bed with a fourth for Haws on 54 minutes

Kennoway Star Hearts went down 2-1 at home to Penicuik Athletic, Kieran Band scoring a penalty for Hearts.
