Pensioner denies catalogue of offences against neighbours

-

A Keltybridge pensioner will go on trial after denying a string of offences against his neighbours and their properties.

Michael Waters, 69, faces several charges including removing guttering and moving flower pots around. One pair of neighbours accuse him of committing several offences over a five-year period.

Waters denies engaging in a course of conduct which caused a married couple fear and alarm by repeatedly staring into their property and taking photographs of them and their property between August 4 2011 and November 1 2016.

He also denies repeatedly entering the couple’s garden without permission and moving their bins about, painting a garage wall without permission, repeatedly shouting and swearing at them, repeatedly removing and interfering with guttering at their house, causing damage to it and to the roof during the same period.

In addition, Waters denies a separate charge that on various occasions he engaged in a course of conduct which caused a female neighbour fear and alarm by repeatedly shouting, swearing and behaving in an aggressive manner towards her at another address in Keltybridge between September 23 2015 and September 30 2016.

The same charge alleges that he repeatedly entered this woman’s property, removed her fence and moved flower pots around. Waters is accused of climbing on to her roof and pulling at the guttering, damaging it in the process, as well as repeatedly staring into her property and staring at her.

Waters denies all of the alleged offences.

He is due to stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court next Monday.
