Trainee and apprentice scheme
Kingdom Housing Association is continuing its trainee programme for the third year, with vacancies for an apprentice electrician as well as trainee positions.
The project gives locals aged 16 to 24 the opportunity to work full time in their chosen field while studying.
Chief executive Bill Banks said: “We are very proud of the trainee and apprenticeship programmes we have implemented. They provide opportunities for young people that are not readily available.”
Kirsty Stott, who was part of last year’s programme and is a technical services trainee, said being involved in live projects had really helped when studying theory at college.
Development trainee Richard Miller, who joined the scheme in 2016, added: “I would definitely recommend the scheme to hard-working, driven young people looking for a good place to start their career.”
Kingdom has already provided opportunities for trainees and apprentices in several areas over the last two years.
Anyone interested in the new positions can visit the jobs page of Kingdom’s website for more information on how to apply.
There will also be a Live Chat function available from May 21 to 23 where an existing trainee will be on hand to answer any questions.
The closing date for applications is May 31.
